The Independent Parent™, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting and strengthening single-parent households through education, encouragement, coaching, and community.
We believe that parenting is more than a responsibility—it is a God-given calling. Through biblical principles and practical life application, we equip parents to faithfully lead, love, and steward their families while navigating the unique joys and challenges of single parenthood.
Our primary educational resource is The Single Parent: The Joys, Pains, and Finding Balance, written by our founder, in which the updated curriculum combines practical parenting tools with biblical studies designed to encourage personal growth, healthy family relationships, and faithful servant-leadership in the home and will be provided free of charge to our participants.
Our Services
All of our core parent support services are provided free of charge for our participants through the generosity of donors, grants, and community partners. Because our programs are offered at no cost to participating parents, we rely on the generosity of individuals, churches, businesses, foundations, and community partners who share our vision.
Whether you choose to volunteer, pray, donate, or partner with us, your support helps make restoration accessible to parents who need it most.
Our Family Restoration Ecosystem™ includes:
- Connect – Join our monthly Parent Restoration Circle (Listening Sessions) for encouragement, biblical discussion, and peer support.
- Equip – Participate in our 6 to 8-week Parent Restoration Cohort focused on parenting, emotional wellness, family stability, and biblical stewardship.
- Revive – Celebrate your progress during our Parental Reset Retreat, designed to provide rest, reflection, and renewal following each cohort through the initiative of environmental displacement .
- Sustain – Continue growing through ongoing accountability, coaching check-ins to ensure reinforcement, community support, and referrals to additional resources as available.

Most importantly, we believe that lasting transformation begins with God. Our role is to encourage, equip, and walk alongside parents as they grow in their relationship with Christ and faithfully steward the families He has entrusted to them.

Parental Burnout Prevention
Security is not just financial; it is spiritual, emotional and relational. This intensive is offered as either 1-on-1 or group, and is Biblical-based parental coaching designed to heal the heart of the home, the parent. Holistic Restoration focuses on emotional, relational, mental, physical, financial, and spiritual healing to end the generational dysfunctional parenting tactics rooted in apathy and survival. 1-2-day Group Retreat and Workshop Packages are also available upon request.

Pull up a chair, grab your favorite drink, and join us virtually on the 29th of each month at 6:30 p.m. CST for approximately 30–40 minutes of honest conversation, biblical encouragement, prayer, and community. Our Parent Restoration Circles are designed to create a judgment-free space where we explore God's heart for healing, healthy families, and breaking generational cycles that affect parenting and everyday life. Maybe this sounds familiar... You love your children. You're doing the best you can. But lately, you've been exhausted. Maybe you've cried in the bathroom so no one would see. Maybe you've questioned whether you're enough. Maybe you're carrying financial stress, loneliness, grief, disappointment, or responsibilities that no one else fully understands. If that's you... Welcome. You're not alone. You don't have to carry it all by yourself anymore. Whether you're seeking practical parenting wisdom, biblical encouragement, emotional support, or simply a community that understands, there's a seat waiting for you. While this gathering was created with single parents in mind, we warmly welcome any parent or guardian, as well as adult children who are seeking healing from the impact of unhealthy family dynamics and desire to grow in faith, restoration, and healthy relationships. There is no pressure—only a welcoming community committed to walking alongside one another as we pursue restoration, one conversation at a time.
